NILAI: Police have detained a 34-year-old actress near here for alleged drug abuse.
OCPD Supt Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman said the suspect was arrested during a raid at a house in Kg Chalet on Monday (June 28).
“The suspect was later taken to the district police headquarters for screening and the tests came back positive for methamphetamine abuse,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (June 29).
The case, he said, was being probed under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Offenders can be jailed for up to two years or fined up to RM5,000 or both upon conviction.
Supt Mohd Fazley said the suspect was released on police bail after her statement was recorded.
