PETALING JAYA: Approximately 10,000 B40 students have acquired laptops under the Pakej PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia scheme, says Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad (pic).
The Higher Education Minister additionally mentioned by way of an allocation of RM3.8mil, the ministry offered 76,153 new students within the 2020/2021 tutorial 12 months with one-off Data Plan Assistance.
“We hope the devices will make it easier for students to follow their online classes and take notes.
“The need to have equipment such as desktop computers, laptops and so on for students to follow their teaching and learning (PdP) sessions is very important, whether the PdP is done online or face to face.
“This is especially so since Covid-19 hit the country over the last two years,” she mentioned throughout the PerantiSiswa pre-launch ceremony at Multimedia University in Cyberjaya on Thursday (April 14).
She mentioned initiatives just like the PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia needs to be continued to supply an optimum PdP expertise for larger training students, which can contribute to producing extra highly-educated Malaysians.
Applications for Pakej PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia tablets for B40 students will open on Friday (April 15).
