Offshore funds press pause on buying Bursa equities

KUALA LUMPUR: The overseas influx into Bursa Malaysia lastly got here to halt within the earlier week as offshore buyers turned web sellers to the tune of RM60.11mil.

According to MIDF Research knowledge, overseas buyers have been web patrons for 12 out of the primary 15 weeks of 2022, leading to a year-to-date web influx of RM6.91bil.

In the week ended April 15, overseas buyers have been web patrons on Monday with RM440,000 web influx earlier than turning web sellers on Tuesday with web gross sales of RM22.29mil.

The largest web outflow recorded for the week was on Thursday with RM41.83mil web offered.

On Friday, overseas buyers have been web patrons to the tune of RM12.67mil.

Meanwhile, native retailers have been web patrons on all days of the previous week with the most important web influx of RM52.06mil on Monday.

Local establishments went the opposite route, promoting Bursa Malaysia equities on all days of the week apart from Thursday.

The largest web outflow by native establishments was on Monday with RM52.5mil in web gross sales.

Year-to-date, native establishments have been web sellers to the tune of RM7.5bil whereas native retailers have been web patrons of RM588.2mil.
