PETALING JAYA: Bank loan moratoriums and cash payments must be rolled out during the June 1-14 lockdown, says Pakatan Harapan.

Its committee on the cost of living said that while it supports the lockdown on social and economic activities, the government must also agree on certain conditions including the giving of aid to the B40 and M40 groups.

“The Government must also ensure that the daily supply of essentials are enough and that delivery of goods would not be restricted. The Government must also send food baskets to those in need,” said the committee in a statement on Saturday (May 29).

The statement was signed by seven Pakatan lawmakers including PKR’s Hassan Abdul Karim and Parti Amanah Negara’s Datuk Hassanudin Mohd Yunus and Natrah Ismail.

The committee members from DAP are Chong Chieng Jen, Sivakumar Varathaju Naidu, Chan Foong Hin and Cha Kee Chin.
