BANTUAN KHAS SARAWAKKU SAYANG

KUCHING: Sarawakians who are the head of households and are listed as beneficiaries of Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) in January 2020 who have been approved by the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) are automatically eligible for the Bantuan Khas Sarawakku Sayang (BKSS).

The Sarawak government, in a statement yesterday, said BKSS recipients would receive their monthly cash assistance of RM250 for six months from April 15 to Sept 15, credited into their bank accounts.

Payment starts this month, and the cash aid will be banked in every 15 of the month until Sept 15.

For those who do not have a bank account registered with the IRB, cash payment can be claimed from any Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branch by providing their identity card. Payment will be made in two phases.

For phase one (April 17), recipients will receive RM750 while the remaining RM750 will be made on July 17.

The statement said those who meet the criteria but not listed as BKSS recipients could file an appeal.
