The contributions were to assist media front-liners in carrying out their duties safely during the movement control order (MCO) period and beyond following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The face masks were distributed to the respective media associations in each of the operation areas, with each region being given 2,000 pieces.

Sabah Journalists Association received on behalf of Sabah journalists, Kuching Division Journalists Association (Sarawak), Kelab media Johor, Kelab Media Massa Melaka and Persatuan Wartawan Melaka as well as Kelab Media Negeri Sembilan (states in Southern Region) and Kelab Wartawan Terengganu, Kelab Media Darul Naim, Kelantan and Kelab Media Pahang (states in East Coast).

The collective initiative demonstrated appreciation and support to the media practitioners for their sacrifice and hard work in reporting and providing updates on the Covid-19 situation as well as events and issues affecting the nation during the MCO period.
