IPOH: A 17-year-old woman was killed whereas her youthful brother was seriously injured after the motorcycle they had been on grazed a lorry and fell over at Jalan Slim Village close to Kampung Rasau in Slim River.
Muallim OCPD Superintendant Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman mentioned Nurul Nazira Hanum Ismail died on the spot whereas Muhammad Khairul Rezeal Ismail, 15, broke his left leg in the course of the 11.30am incident on Wednesday (March 9).
Supt Sulizmie Affendy mentioned the teenage boy, who was using in entrance, had tried to overhaul a lorry previous to the incident.
“While making an attempt to keep away from a car that was coming from the other way, he tried to swerve again into his lane.
“The motorcycle then grazed the lorry earlier than falling on the street,” he mentioned.
“The 34-year-old lorry driver was unhurt,” he added.
Supt Sulizmie Affendy mentioned the deceased was dropped at Hospital Slim River for a publish mortem.
The case, he mentioned, can be investigated beneath part 41(1) of the Road Transportation Act.
