PETALING JAYA: Police escorts for former prime ministers will solely be rescinded for these going through felony prices after their appeals have been finalised in courtroom, says Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani (pic).
The Inspector-Normal of Police stated in a press release on Tuesday (Nov 16) that police escort privileges have been accorded based on the Members of Parliament (Remuneration) Act 1980.
“Recently the police have seen a number of feedback relating to the privileges of security and site visitors escorts for former prime ministers.
“At the moment the police present these companies to all former prime ministers. For these going through prices in courtroom, the police will proceed on offering these privileges till the attraction course of has been finalised by the courtroom,” he stated.
