BY regulation, emergency lanes are meant for emergencies. However, some are nonetheless oblivious to such guidelines and proceed to abuse them.
Recently, a tanker truck driver was caught navigating his method by means of the emergency lane alongside the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway, in a 16-second video that went viral
The viral dashcam footage confirmed that autos have been trapped in heavy visitors earlier than the tanker truck driver carried out the unlawful motion.
According to Port Dickson District Police Chief Superintendent Aidi Sham Mohamed, the incident is believed to have taken place between 2pm to 4pm on Dec 11 round KM27-KM28 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway.
The tanker truck, with the quantity place CEL 5916, has been recognized as being registered beneath a logistics firm in Bukit Raja, Shah Alam.
“We request for the driver or the owner of the vehicle to present himself at the Port Dickson Traffic police station for further investigation,” Aidi stated in a press release.
Meanwhile, police urge highway customers to follow correct highway security, and to obey visitors guidelines to keep away from inflicting inconvenience to different drivers. Aidi additional said that the police is not going to go simple on any highway customers who abuse emergency lanes.
The case is being investigated beneath Section 279 of the Penal Code and Rule 53(1) of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
