Muzzamer Rahman’s movie Prebet Sapu has been chosen by the Nationwide Movie Improvement Company Malaysia (Finas) as Malaysia’s entry within the 2022’s Academy Awards’ Greatest Worldwide Function Movie class.

Shot solely in black and white, the movie stars actors Amerul Affendi, Lim Mei Fen, Bront Palarae and Sharifah Amani.

Prebet Sapu centres on Aman who begins the job of an e-hailing driver in Kuala Lumpur after his father’s dying.

However he has to do it illegally as he by no means bought a driver’s license as a consequence of his color blindness. Plus, he isn’t that conversant in the KL metropolis routes.

Prebet Sapu is ready to open at cinemas in Malaysia on Dec 16, 2021.

It has been invited to a number of festivals already together with Toronto Reel Asian Worldwide Movie Competition in Canada, Far East Movie Competition in Italy and Asian Movie Competition 2021 in Spain.

Malaysia’s submissions in previous years on this Oscar class, which was beforehand generally known as Greatest International Language Movie, had been Roh, Bunohan and Puteri Gunung Ledang.

Thus far, no Malaysian movie has made it to the shortlist.
