JOHOR BARU: The state government’s Johor Immunity Planning System (IMMUPlan) would be improved from time to time, says Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad.

Hasni said this was to ensure that more people could benefit from the programme, which is an initiative that focuses on providing vaccines to economic frontliners.

“Improvements on Johor IMMUPlan will be done from time to time to ensure that more people could benefit from the programme without ignoring standard operating procedures (SOP).

“These improvements include providing more vaccines under the programme,” he said after visiting the vaccine distribution centre (PPV) at Johor Persada International Convention Centre on Friday (July 30).

Also present were Johor health and environment committee chairman R. Vidyananthan, state deputy secretary Datuk Mohd Noh Ibrahim, state health director Datuk Dr Aman Rabu and Johor National Security Council director Mohd Tarmizi Dan.

Johor IMMUPlan was introduced to help Johor economic frontliners, including Malaysian workers with a valid working permit in Singapore as well as an offer letter or a letter from their employers in the island republic.

The vaccination process for individuals who are qualified under the programme would be scheduled on a daily basis, based on the order of their registration date.

On Tuesday (July 27), a statement posted on the Johor IMMUPlan’s Facebook page announced that the programme will begin on Thursday (July 29).
