Royal garbage?

A lifelong friend of Queen Elizabeth II slammed The Crown as an “unfair” and inaccurate portrayal of the British monarchy.

“(It’s) so unfair on members of the Royal Family,” Lady Anne Glenconner, a maid of honour on the late monarch’s coronation, instructed BBC Radio 4′s Woman’s Hour.

She referred to as the present a “complete fantasy”.

Glenconner took concern with what she stated is the tendency of American viewers to consider the present “completely”.

She stated within the Thursday podcast that she was “rather disappointed” in Helena Bonham Carter’s two-season portrayal of Princess Margaret.

Glenconner stated Bonham Carter had come to her for recommendations on bringing Margaret to the display screen.

Glenconner stated she not watches the present and that it “just makes me so angry”.

After the dying of the queen in September, Netflix agreed so as to add a “fictional dramatisation” disclaimer to the present.

The fifth and penultimate season of The Crown hit Netflix this month, amid latest criticism levelled on the Emmy-winning sequence.

Judi Dench, a shut friend of King Charles and his spouse, Camilla, referred to as on the streamer to concern the disclaimer “for the sake of a family and a nation so recently bereaved, as a mark of respect”. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
