Riders stranded after Hyperia rollercoaster stops


The UK’s tallest rollercoaster has suffered one other breakdown simply days after reopening.

Thorpe Park in Surrey mentioned folks driving Hyperia have been caught on the journey for an hour on Saturday.

The journey reopened on 12 June after a two-week closure, following its first day of operation.

The park mentioned the journey will stay closed whereas security checks are carried out.

In a press release on Saturday Thorpe Park mentioned: “Hyperia skilled a brief delay in operation right now.

“Guests have been held on the carry hill for roughly one hour earlier than the journey was restarted and the prepare was introduced again into the journey station.”

It mentioned riders have been “communicated to all through” the shutdown.

“Stoppages are completely regular and generally skilled in theme parks in every single place,” it mentioned, including: “At no stage was there any security issues for friends. “

The journey will stay closed on Saturday to permit for checks.
