RM680mil allocated to stabilise, standardise prices of goods, says Nanta

KOTA KINABALU: The authorities has allocated RM680mil for the Price Standardisation, Price Stabilisation and General Use Flour Subsidy programmes this yr, says Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

He mentioned of the quantity, RM240mil had been put aside for the implementation of the Price Standardisation Programme, which entails the Distribution of Essential Goods, Liquefied Petroleum Gas and Community Drumming programme

“A total of RM400mil (has been allocated) for the Cooking Oil Price Stabilisation programme and RM40mil for the General Use Flour Subsidy programme,” he instructed reporters after launching the Kota Kinabalu City Hall’s Joint Broadcasting System at Pasar Besar Kota Kinabalu, right here Monday (Jan 17).

Present have been Sabah Community Development and People’s Welfare Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, Sabah director of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry Georgie Abas and Kota Kinabalu Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip.
