RMAF to arrange technical panel to assessment Hawk crash, says Deputy Defence Minister


PETALING JAYA: The Royal Malaysian Air Pressure (RMAF) will arrange a technical panel to assessment the Hawk 108 crash at Butterworth on Tuesday (Nov 16) evening, says Datuk Seri Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz.

This comes after RMAF deputy chief Lt Gen Datuk Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan mentioned {that a} complete investigation might be carried out into the crash that killed a pilot and injured one other.

“We are going to conduct an in depth investigation however aside from that, I’m unable to remark,” Bernama reported Lt Gen Mohd Ashgar telling reporters on the Seberang Jaya Hospital (HSJ) compound right here on Wednesday (Nov 17) morning.

Within the 10 pm incident on Tuesday (Nov 16) one pilot was killed and one other was injured when their Hawk jet crashed throughout an evening coaching train.

The RMAF has since recognized the 2 pilots as Main Mohd Fareez Omar and Capt Mohamad Affendi Bustamy.

It mentioned Mohamad Affendi was killed within the crash whereas Mohd Fareez sustained accidents however was in a steady situation and is being handled in HSJ.
