Rugby: Rugby-Namibia qualify for 2023 World Cup


(Reuters) – Namibia certified for their seventh successive Rugby World Cup finals, comprehensively beating Kenya 36-0 on Sunday in Aix-en-Provence, France to win the Rugby Africa Cup.

Namibia’s reward is a spot in Pool A with hosts France, New Zealand, Italy and Uruguay on the match in September subsequent 12 months.

Flanker Wian Conradie scored a hat-trick of tries and captain Johan Deysel the opposite within the remaining of the African qualifying match, performed on the Stade Maurice David within the south of France.

Flyhalf Cliven Loubser added 4 penalties and a conversion, with substitute PW Steenkamp including one other conversion to disclaim Kenya a primary ever qualification.

Namibia have competed at each World Cup because the 1999 match however misplaced all 22 matches they’ve performed within the finals.
