KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah authorities wants a full investigation into claims that suspected international militant landed on Long Patau in the state’s easternmost tip of Lahad Datu in Tambisan.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor (pic) mentioned that he had directed safety forces to depart “no stone unturned” in investigating allegations of armed intruders in Lahad Datu.
However, Hajiji mentioned he had been briefed concerning the case by Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Idris Abdullah and that there was no indication of the alleged intruders in Lahad Datu.
The subject was raised after a villager claimed he noticed the boys arriving on boats in the world and have been picked up by individuals in two automobiles.
However, upon questioning by police the villager couldn’t present any proof and it was suspected that he had private causes to speak concerning the alleged landing.
Sabah police, nonetheless, mentioned that they remained on excessive alert throughout the state’s east coast to counter any type of intrusion or threats posed by militants or legal components.

On Thursday (Feb 3), the Eastern Sabah Security Command confirmed that they have been investigating claims that foreigners had landed in Long Patau, Tabisan which was lower than ten minutes by boat from Philippines’ territory.
Jauteh mentioned there was no actual proof of the landing however police continued to observe up on the claims by intelligence investigations to test on the authenticity of the claims.
