Sarawak Polls: BN not contesting, helps GPS, says Annuar

SIBU: Barisan Nasional is not going to contest within the twelfth Sarawak election, says Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

Chatting with reporters at a meet-the-people session in Tanjung Manis on Saturday, (Nov 27), the previous Barisan secretary-general stated they had been staying away from the election to respect the spirit of cooperation and to help GPS.

“Barisan Nasional is a detailed pal of GPS so we is not going to contest or take part within the Sarawak state election,” he stated, including that GPS is strongly supported by the folks of Sarawak.

Annuar, who’s Communications and Multimedia Minister, stated that GPS, being a part of the Federal Authorities, is taking part in an necessary position in nationwide improvement.

“There may be consensus and cooperation between Barisan and the GPS management in Sarawak, so don’t imagine the rumours that we’re contesting within the election,” he added.

Nomination for the election is on Dec 6 whereas polling is on Dec 18.
