KUANTAN: A 74-year-old lady was conned of RM52,300 in a love rip-off after befriending a person on Facebook final December.

Pahang Commercial Criminal Investigation Department head Supt Mohd Wazir Mohd Yusof stated the lady claimed the person, who claimed to be Nelson Michael Jr, from the United States, and dealing in Miri, Sarawak, contacted her by way of Facebook.

He stated all through the friendship, the lady claimed to had not met the suspect, however solely communicated with him by way of cellphone calls and WhatsApp.
