Senior U.S. official to go to Honduras to again truthful elections


WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A senior U.S. official will go to Honduras subsequent week to underline that United States needs the Central American nation to carry a “free and truthful” presidential election on Nov. 28, the U.S. State Division stated on Saturday.

The final presidential election in 2017 was marred by a bitter row over the vote rely, which gave the impression to be going towards incumbent Juan Orlando Hernandez till it broke down after which turned in favor of Hernandez when it re-started.

In an announcement, the State Division stated Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Brian Nichols will go to Tegucigalpa from Nov. 21 to Nov. 23.

Hernandez shouldn’t be operating within the Nov. 28 election.
