L/Kpl Siti Nurul Hawana Amran’s mother Hasminah Parmin, 57, passed away at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre at 4am Friday (May 20) before her father Amran Sadon, 56, succumbed some six hours later at the same medical centre.

Tragedy struck L/Kpl Siti Nurul Hawana when her youngest brother Muhammad Luqman Idham, 20, also died of Covid-19 at Hospital Sungai Buloh at about 6am Sunday (May 23).

“I accept the fate determined by God and I hope their souls will be blessed.

“Today I lost my youngest brother. I pray that their souls will be placed among the blessed,” she said when contacted Sunday.

The eldest of four siblings, L/Kpl Siti Nurul Hawana said her brother-in-law and his baby were also confirmed Covid-19 positive and undergoing quarantine at home.

L/Kpl Siti Nurul Hawana also mentioned that she has taken both doses of the vaccine with her second dose given on May 7.

Meanwhile, Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai offered his condolences to L/Kpl Siti Nurul Awana and her family.

“My deepest condolences to L/Kpl Siti Nurul Awana and her family members.

“I would like to tell the public that even the police have to face the loss of family members.

“Even though their family members are affected by Covid-19, police personnel and officers are still determined to ensure the safety and security of the people,” he added.

ACP Beh reminded the public to adhere to the Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) so that the spread of the virus could be curbed.

“If you have nothing urgent to settle, don’t leave your homes needlessly,” he said.

ACP Beh also presented contributions to L/Kpl Siti Nurul Awana, in representing Sentul police in offering his condolences.
