Singer Joss Stone talks about her near-fatal childbirth ordeal

The Grammy-winning singer is “grateful” to be alive after surviving a harrowing childbirth that almost took the lives of each mom and youngster.

Stone and her boyfriend Cody DaLuz welcomed their bouncing child boy, Shackleton Stoker, in October — but it surely didn’t develop into fairly the joyous event they’d hoped for.

“I’m very grateful because I thought I was going to have to be a single dad,” stated the singer’s co-parent. “For about 20 minutes, I thought I was going to be on my own with a couple of kids.”

“So it got pretty scary, but thank God for them,” DaLuz continued. “They brought them back to me … Everyone is happy and healthy.”
