A pleasant day out at the park in Barcelona, Spain quickly turned into an episode of Man Vs. Wild for Shakira and her son when she had to fight off a pair of wild boars.

The pop star took to Instagram on Sept 29 to share her unexpected experience with her fans. She explained that the animals had attacked her and fled with the bag she was carrying back into the woods. Though it was not clear how she managed to retrieve her bag, the singer showed it on the post and said: “Look at how two wild boars which attacked me in the park have left my bag.”

She continued: “They were taking my bag to the woods with my mobile phone in it, they’ve destroyed everything.”

Despite the damage to her belongings, fortunately Shakira and her eight-year-old son, Milan, were left unharmed.

The 44-year-old Colombian then turned the her camera on her son and asked, “Milan tell the truth. Say how your mummy stood up to the wild boar.” Milan is the eldest son of Shakira and famous Spanish footballer Gerard Pique who currently plays for Barcelona.

The Hips Don’t Lie singer was the latest to come face to face with wild boars which have been reported within Barcelona in recent years. BBC reported that back in 2016, the Spanish police had received some 1,187 calls regarding wild boar attacks, including reports about the animals damaging cars and property and even causing traffic congestion.
