IPOH: Hilir Perak police are looking for families with missing relatives, after a skull and several bone pieces were found at a palm oil estate in Teluk Intan.

Hilir Perak OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Adnan Basri said a farm worker had stumbled upon the skull at Ladang Seri Intan, Batu 5, around 11.30am on Wednesday (May 26).

“The foreign worker first found the skull before finding several other bones.

“He then contacted the auxiliary police and our personnel rushed to the scene, ” he said in a statement.

“The forensic and canine units were able to find about 22 pieces of bone and dirt samples.

“We were not able to find the victim’s clothing or any weapon at the scene,” he added.

ACP Ahmad Adnan said the bones and skull were brought back to the Teluk Intan Hospital’s forensics unit.

“We managed to retrieve a fractured pelvis, teeth and femur located between 10 and 20 metres from each other.

“It is believed that the bones have been eaten by dogs and lizards.
