PETALING JAYA: Students who will be leaving for their studies abroad and need early Covid-19 vaccination can now apply to do so through the MySejahtera app.

The Special Committee on Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) said that students can now make their application on the app through the Helpdesk feature.

In a tweet with a MySejahtera app screenshot on its Twitter page on Tuesday (June 29), the JKJAV said the steps were by choosing Helpdesk, before opting for Start followed by Vaccination Appointment.

Students then can choose option A, which said that “I am a student and need to travel to study abroad.”

“If you have made an application through [email protected] previously, your application is still valid and will be reviewed,” it added.

On June 21, the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the task force has received 5,621 applications for early vaccination from students who will be leaving for their studies abroad.

He said these students need to be vaccinated as a requirement for them to enter countries where their universities are located.

He also called on students who have not applied for vaccination to contact the task force so that they will get their vaccination before going overseas.
