JOHOR BARU: The supply of chicken in the state is adequate although the standard is proscribed in a number of places, says Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry.
The ministry’s Johor director Mohd Hairul Anuar Bohro stated the scenario was continuously being monitored and complaints about will increase in chicken worth have been being seemed into.

Mohd Hairul Anuar stated the ministry had carried out 4,487 inspections protecting 4,321 checks on the retail stage and the remainder on the wholesaler and producer stage since Feb 5, when the Maximum Price Control Scheme on chicken and eggs was carried out.
“A complete of 121 instances have been recorded underneath AKHAP 2011 involving RM 101,300 in compounds,” he stated.
Inspections have been beefed up with enforcement personnel deployed on the principal places, particularly moist markets, farmers’ markets and supermarkets the place chickens are being bought, he added.- Bernama
