BENI, Democratic Republic of Congo (Reuters) – Suspected Islamist militants killed 16 people this week in two rural cities in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a neighborhood official, a civil society chief and a resident mentioned on Friday.

They mentioned the attackers belonged to the Allied Democratic Forces(ADF), a militia linked to Islamic State that’s accused of killing a whole bunch of civilians in eastern Congo since 2019 and finishing up a string of latest bombings in Uganda.
