Taiwanese singer Chao Chuan, 61, graduates with a master’s degree: ‘Thank you to my hardworking self’


Taiwanese singer Chao Chuan is the dwelling proof that one isn’t too outdated to pursue training.

The 61-year-old shared with followers that he has simply graduated with a master’s diploma in Popular Music Studies and Industrial Applications from the National Taiwan Normal University.

Chao Chuan did not have a formal commencement ceremony due to the pandemic however he managed to take some snapshots of himself in his commencement gown, which he posted on his Facebook with the caption: “I’ve graduated! I’ve graduated! I’ve graduated!”

“It was only after taking the graduation photos that I feel I have really graduated. I’m so happy! Thank you to my hardworking self! Thank you to my parents for being proud of me!” he mentioned, dedicating his achievement to his mother and father, who’re each of their 90s.

In interviews with Taiwan media, the singer – who admitted he isn’t good at finding out – mentioned that getting the master’s diploma was a dream come true. The I’m Just A Little Bird hitmaker added that engaged on his thesis proved to be tough.

“It has been greater than 40 years since I had to burn the midnight oil. Before I completed my thesis, I had to present it to my supervisor to evaluation it and this course of went backwards and forwards a number of occasions. It actually takes endurance and persistence,” he mentioned, including that he would work on his thesis until 3am each day for 2 months.
