BANGKOK (Reuters) – Thailand has issued guidelines to ban digital assets from getting used to pay for items and companies from April 1, the market regulator mentioned on Wednesday.

The transfer was in step with earlier discussions between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Bank of Thailand (BOT) on a necessity to regulate such exercise by digital asset enterprise operators as it may affect the nation’s monetary stability and total economic system, the SEC mentioned in a press release.
