PETALING JAYA: Telekom Malaysia has introduced that it has no particular date to introduce 5G for Unifi Mobile customers.

In a Jan 16 statement, TM stated the corporate remains to be performing assessments for its 5G service.

“Our goal is to provide unifi Mobile customers the best 5G experience we can offer. As such, we are currently doing extensive internal testing on our 5G service. At this point of time, we are unable to provide the actual date for customer trials,” the assertion reads.

This comes after native tech portals noticed a promotional message stating that the corporate might be introducing 5G to Unifi Mobile customers in February.

The info posted on the Unifi Mobile Postpaid page has been up to date to mirror a non-specific availability.

Unifi Mobile month-to-month postpaid plans vary from RM19 to RM59 with knowledge choices from 2GB to 10GB. The firm is urging extra to subscribe to “enjoy 5G data soon”.

Currently, Yes is the one telco providing 5G cell plans ranging from RM30 per thirty days. The firm introduced that it’s offering limitless 5G entry to subscribers till March 31 by means of the Yes FT5G plan.

In Malaysia, 5G providers are solely out there at chosen areas inside Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and Kuala Lumpur.

There are plans to achieve roughly 40% of 5G protection in city populated areas by the top of the 12 months, in response to a statement by Ericsson, Malaysia’s 5G community tools supplier. The protection might be prolonged nationwide to cowl extra areas together with rural areas with a goal of 80% protection in populated areas by 2024.
