KUALA LUMPUR: Kossan, Globetronics, DNex, VSTECS and AirAsia are among the companies which could see trading interest on Wednesday following the fresh corporate news, JF Apex Research said.

Kossan Rubber reported a new record high quarterly net profit of RM1.06bil for its 2QFY21, more than eight times the RM131.06mil a year earlier.

It attributed this to a higher average selling price (ASP) and demand for its glove products, but warned that the ASP is set to fall, as countries across the globe ramp up vaccination against Covid-19;

As for Globetronics, its quarterly net profit jump 24.5% yoy, on higher volume loadings and a better mix of products;

DNeX, which has launched its digital trade and logistics platform known as SealNet to provide users one-stop cloud-based logistics and cross-border services, expects SealNet’s revenue to grow about 300% from a low base as DNeX positions SealNet as a global digital trade connector;

VSTECS said its unit VSTECS Pericomp Sdn Bhd has been appointed by Alibaba Cloud as the latter’s distributor to provide high performance public cloud services in Malaysia;

Low-cost carrier AirAsia said all four of its key operating entities posted year-on-year improvements for the second quarter (April to June), on the back of a low base last year, when its fleet was hibernated amid the pandemic;

Meanwhile, Nexgram‘s 51%-owned Tri-G Technologies Sdn Bhd, has received an operation notification letter from the government for the implementation of the Covid-19 quarantine process using the TracAPM digital system;

JF Apex Research said Omesti has launched a programme to provide Covid-19 vaccination services to local companies as part of a nationwide drive to combat the virus;

Brahim’s has engaged MHC Trading (M) Sdn Bhd to manage and operate its unit Tamadam Industries Sdn Bhd’s business in warehouse rental, bonded warehousing, freight forwarding and transportation services for up to three years.
