KUALA LUMPUR: Tuju Setia Bhd has secured a RM189mil contract for a high-rise construction project in Seri Kembangan, Selangor.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Tuesday, Tuju Setia said its wholly owned subsidiary Pembinaan Tuju Setia Sdn Bhd accepted the letter of award (LOA) from Enso Development Sdn Bhd.
Tuju Setia said the contract is for the proposed construction and completion of Package1 of a commercial development project which consists of 35 storey small-office-home-office (865 units), 33 storey serviced apartments (526 units), and 13 storey podium car park and related facilities at Bandar Putra Permai, Seri Kembangan, Selangor.
The contract is for a duration of 38 months commencing on June 1, 2021 and to be completed by July 31, 2024.
In a separate statement, Tuju Setia managing director Wee Eng Kong said the new contract reflected the positive upturn of Malaysia’s property market, particularly projects that are supported by easy accessibility, innovative concepts and a large catchment population.
“With this new win, our order book is now at RM1.14bil from RM953.1mil previously.
“In striving to be the builder of choice, we hope to maintain this momentum and continue to secure projects to further fortify our standing in the construction industry,” Wee said.
