Two local divers found safe near Pangkor

LUMUT: Two local divers had been rescued off Pulau Jarak right here after three had been found safely on Saturday (April 6) evening.

Perak Maritime director Captain Shahrizan Raman stated the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) obtained details about the incident from the Pulau Pangkor Police Station and alerted the Western Fleet Command Headquarters, Kampung Acheh Marine Police Force and Maritime Component Operation Commander (MCOC) for help.

“The victims are from Kampung Acheh, had been found safe at 7.40 pm whereas clinging to the Pulau Jarak jetty.

“Both of them had been delivered to Pulau Jarak for a well being inspection by the Navy personnel on obligation at about 8 pm,” he stated in a press release.

The divers had been reported to be lacking because of sturdy currents at a place of 0.4 nautical miles east of Pulau Jarak. – Bernama
