GOMBAK: Two motorists were involved in an accident when their vehicles crashed into a group of cows along the Latar Expressway.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said the incident occurred at 9.44pm on Wednesday (May 26).
“The first vehicle, which was driven by a 56-year-old man, encountered a group of cows in the middle of the expressway at KM26.1.
“He slammed the brake but he could stop in time and hit a cow.
“Moments later, another vehicle driven by a 38-year-old man also tried to swerve away but he hit a second cow that was on the road,” he said when contacted on Thursday (May 27).
Investigations showed that it was raining heavily and the road was wet during the incident, he added.
“Both vehicles were damaged during the incident.
“However, the two drivers were unhurt,” he added.
ACP Arifai said police will investigate the matter further.
