PETALING JAYA: Amanah’s threat to withdraw support for bipartisan cooperation between Pakatan Harapan and the federal government is why the overall election and the Johor state election needs to be held quickly, says Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
The Umno vice-president mentioned the elections needs to be held quickly to keep away from the federal government from having to depend on the Opposition’s support to proceed ruling.

Salahuddin had advised The Star that he wouldn’t hesitate to withdraw his support for the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on bipartisan cooperation between Pakatan Harapan and the federal government if the state election have been to be held.
Khaled then criticised Salahuddin for issuing threats in opposition to the Johor state authorities.
He mentioned calling for the state election was the prerogative of the state authorities and Istana Johor.
“Any threats by Pakatan is not going to be a deciding think about dissolving the state meeting.
“If Pakatan retracts its support from the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Barisan Nasional might be ready to face the overall election and kind the brand new authorities with out Pakatan’s support, god-willing,” mentioned Khaled.
He mentioned it was the duty of the state authorities to return the mandate to Johoreans, as the current state authorities was in an unstable place.
