Veoneer says Qualcomm deal to close next week

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) – Swedish automotive expertise group Veoneer stated on Thursday that the deal that can see it purchased by Qualcomm Inc and SSW Partners would close on April 1.

Chipmaker Qualcomm Inc and SSW Partners, an funding agency based mostly in New York, stated in October they’d reached an settlement to purchase Veoneer for $4.5 billion.

Veoneer stated in an announcement on Thursday that its new homeowners would appoint Jacob Svanberg, Senior Vice President Lidar Product Area, as new CEO, to succeed Jan Carlson, who will probably be appointed advisor to the board and to the CEO.
