Wah Seong wins RM162mil job in Gabon 


KUALA LUMPUR: Wah Seong Corp Bhd said it has won a contract to supply of oil and gas processing and compression modules for a project in Gabon, Africa.

The US$39.39mil (RM162.4mil) job was awarded by BW Energy Gabon SA to its indirect wholly owned unit Wasco Engineering International Ltd.

The work was estimated to be completed within 13 months, Wah Seong said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

“The work and services to be performed under the Contract are within the business scope of the Engineering Division of the WSC Group and the risks are the normal operational risks associated with the said business,” it said.

The scope of work of the Gabon job involved complete engineering, procurement, construction and installation of oil and gas processing and compression modules and skid units.

“The Contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of WSC Group over the contract period. The Contract is project specific and is not renewable,” Wah Seong said.
