10 students receive Yang di-Pertuan Agong scholarships

KUALA LUMPUR: Ten younger individuals pursuing their postgraduate research have been conferred the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (*10*) for the 2021 session.

The ceremony to award the scholarship, which was offered by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, was held at Istana Negara right here yesterday, Bernama reported.

The 4 recipients for the doctorate (PhD) stage are Nurul Farhana Abd Ghaffar, 28, who’s pursuing her research in waste administration at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; S. Mogesh, 23 (scientific and well being sciences (stem cells), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM); Loke Yean Leng, 24 (nanotechnology, Universiti Malaya), and Nurul Elia Aqila Ab Rahim, 26 (bioengineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia).

Meanwhile, the six recipients for grasp’s diploma programmes are Nur Amirah Syafiqah Salman, 24 (agro science, UPM); Nur Aina Izzati Mohd Mokhtar, 23 (analytical chemistry, UPM); Ng Wan Chiew, 24 (otorhinolaryngology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, UKM); Too Lih Yuan, 26, and M. Elancheleyen, 24 (tissue engineering, UKM), and Muhamad Huzaifah Omar, 24 (electroanalytical methodology, Universiti Sains Malaysia).

Since its introduction in 2006, a complete of 175 people have obtained the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (*10*) to pursue their graduate research at native analysis universities in addition to the world’s main universities, particularly within the fields of science and expertise, economics, legislation in addition to Islamic finance.

Also current on the scholarship award ceremony have been Public Service director-general Datuk Seri Mohd Shafiq Abdullah and Public Service deputy director-general (improvement) Datuk Dr Zulkapli Mohamed.
