PETALING JAYA: Despite having let go of his position as federal territories minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa continues to serve the rakyat by registering as a Prihatin volunteer.
The former minister made the announcement through his Twitter account amid the political developments on Monday (Aug 16).
“Yes, no more riders, no more bodyguards, no more ‘gaji’, nothing.
“But to me those were all ‘on loan’. What’s next? Serve the rakyat as usual. I have registered myself as a Prihatin volunteer. I want to continue helping the poor, homeless and those in need,” he said, adding that he will start volunteering from Tuesday (Aug 17).
In the same tweet, Annuar uploaded a picture of his Wilayah Prihatin volunteer card, an initiative he started as minister.
The Ketereh MP, as well as other Cabinet members, resigned in tandem with the resignation of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the Prime Minister on Monday.
