WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden on Thursday mentioned the thought of sanctioning Russian President Vladimir Putin personally over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine remained a risk.
“It’s not a bluff, it is on the desk,” Biden instructed reporters at the White House. He didn’t reply to a query about why such private sanctions concentrating on Putin weren’t included in a coordinated set of sanctions introduced on Thursday.
