A Boeing 787 made an icy touchdown on the Troll Airfield in Queen Maud Land, Antarctic.

On board have been 45 researchers and 12 tonnes of analysis tools, despatched to the world as a part of the Norwegian Polar Institute’s operations within the space.

It’s the most important passenger aircraft to have ever landed on the continent, the Institute stated.
