Building material cost index in Peninsular Malaysia increased between 0.1% and 1.3% in Nov

KUALA LUMPUR: The Building Material Cost Index (BCI) with out metal bars increased in November 2021, rising by between 0.1 and 1.3 per cent in Peninsula Malaysia.

The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM) stated the BCI additionally rose in Sabah between 0.1 and 1.7 per cent for all classes of constructing apart from timber piling and single storey (RC) piling that confirmed no adjustments.

“The BCI in Sarawak confirmed a rise between 0.1 and 1.8 per cent in November 2021 apart from RC constructing and RC piling in Sibu which recorded no adjustments,” it stated in a press release at the moment.

The division stated the BCI with metal bars for all areas in Peninsula Malaysia increased between 0.1 to 1.7 per cent for nearly all constructing classes in November 2021 in comparison with the previous month.

“The BCI in Sabah and Sarawak increased between 0.1 and 2.1 per cent for nearly all classes of constructing,” it stated. – Bernama
