Celcom, Maxis, Digi accepts MCMC’s spectrum assignment offers

KUALA LUMPUR: Celcom Axiata, Maxis and Digi Telecommunications have accepted the supply from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for spectrum assignment.

The efficient interval for the spectrum assignment commences July 1 for a interval of 5 years with a one-time price of RM11.76 million to be paid by 12 midday, February 14 and an annual price element fastened at RM20.76 million payable earlier than December 15 every year all through the validity of the spectrum assignment.

In a submitting with Bursa Malaysia, Axiata Group Bhd stated its wholly-owned subsidiary, Celcom Axiata Bhd, has accepted the supply for spectrum assignment within the 2530MHz to 2540MHz paired with 2650MHz to 2660MHz frequency bands.

In a separate submitting, Digi.com Bhd stated its wholly-owned subsidiary, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, has accepted the supply from MCMC, granting Digi Telecommunications the issuance of its 2600MHz spectrum assignment at 2x10MHz band.

Meanwhile, in one other submitting, Maxis Bhd stated its related wholly-owned subsidiary has additionally accepted the supply for the spectrum assignment of 2x10MHz of 2600MHz.
