KUALA LUMPUR: Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Bhd (CGC) has appointed Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Assistant Governor Suhaimi Ali as its new non-independent non-executive director, efficient April 28, 2022.
CGC stated as BNM assistant governor, Suhaimi is presently liable for the monetary growth and innovation, Islamic finance, and monetary inclusion departments of the central financial institution.

Meanwhile, CGC accorded its appreciation to BNM Assistant Governor Adnan Zaylani Mohamad Zahid, who resigned as a non-independent non-executive director of CGC on April 19, 2022.
“Adnan Zaylani joined the board of CGC on Oct 18, 2018, bringing with him 28 years of stellar expertise in funding operations and monetary markets at BNM to the betterment of CGC,” it stated.
CGC is 78.65% owned by BNM and 21.35% by the business banks in Malaysia.
