Comedian Steve Martin could quit acting after ‘Only Murders In The Building’ ends

“When this tv present is completed, I’m not going to hunt others. I’m not going to hunt different films. I do not wish to do cameos. This is, weirdly, it,” he mentioned.

Martin, 77, additionally admitted that he was stunned by the sudden revival of his profession with the hit Disney+ mystery-comedy, which additionally stars Selena Gomez and frequent collaborator Martin Short.

He does have another challenge within the works – a documentary for the AppleTV+ streaming service about his time in Hollywood.

The two-part movie shall be directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville, whose resume consists of the critically acclaimed 2018 documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor, about American tv host Fred Rogers.

Martin admitted his plan to wind down won’t come to fruition as quickly as he expects.

“My spouse retains saying, ‘You all the time say you are going to retire and you then all the time give you one thing. I’m actually not enthusiastic about retiring. I’m not. But I’d simply work rather less. Maybe.” – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
