KUCHING: Sarawakians can rejoice the approaching Chinese New Year with quick relations on the first day of the celebration.

According to pointers launched by the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) launched on Thursday (Jan 13), the quantity of relations is proscribed to 50% of the home capability with bodily distancing of one metre.

Visiting relations will need to have their temperature screened and attendance recorded through MySejahtera or manually.

They are additionally inspired to do a Covid-19 self-test earlier than visiting their households.

Open homes, house-to-house visits and lion dance performances aren’t allowed.

For Chinese New Year eve, reunion dinners are allowed for quick relations only at residence or in eating places in compliance with SOP for the meals sector.

Reunion dinners at residence are restricted to 50% of the premises’ capability.

Similarly, Chap Goh Mei can only be celebrated amongst quick relations at 50% of the home capability.
