MELAKA: The state Health Department is discussing with stakeholders to take into account closing educational institutions right here following a rise in Covid-19 infections.
Melaka Health director Dr Rusdi Abd Rahman stated his group will proceed to monitor the scenario and situation suggestions to the state Covid-19 administration committee.
“We are still holding discussions on the educational institution clusters and would make the recommendations according to the situation,” he stated when contacted Tuesday (Feb 1).
However, he stated the choice on closing educational institutions is the prerogative of the Melaka Education Department.
Some 600 academics and college students have examined optimistic for Covid-19 in the state thus far.
