PETALING JAYA: Sinovac’s CoronaVac vaccine booster doses will now be provided for walk-ins at offsite vaccination centres (PPV) beneath the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) from Monday (Feb 14).
ShieldHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd mentioned that these eligible for their booster doses and intending to obtain this vaccine particularly could refer to the checklist of offsite PPVs at www.protecthealth.com.my.
This comes following the announcement by Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin on Feb 7 that those that had obtained two doses of the first Sinovac vaccine have been now allowed to obtain the Sinovac vaccine as their booster dose.
“However, the Health Ministry is still recommending Pfizer boosters for Sinovac recipients as it offers a higher level of protection,” it added in a press release on Saturday (Feb 12).
Any booster is healthier than no booster. Walaupun @KKMPutrajaya syorkan dos penggalak Pfizer atau AZ untuk memberi high up perlindungan yang terbaik, ada yang masih minta pilihan. We nonetheless strongly suggest a Pfizer or AZ increase. But one thing is healthier than nothing. https://t.co/iyqM4AdnhX
