Covid-19: Over 21 million adults in M’sia fully vaccinated as of Monday (Oct 11), says JKJAV

PETALING JAYA: The number of fully vaccinated adults in Malaysia as of Monday (Oct 11) stands at 21,154,357 individuals or 90.4% of the adult population, says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

It also reported that 94.8% of the adult population (or 22,200,207 people) had received at least one dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday (Oct 12), the JKJAV also said 184,486 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered on Monday.

Of this total, JKJAV said 52,302 people had received their first jab of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine, while 132,184 people had completed their vaccinations.

Selangor led the way in administering first doses with 24,345 jabs given on Monday, followed by Sabah (5,126), Terengganu (3,430), Negri Sembilan (3,387) and Johor (2,659).

Sabah had the highest number of completed Covid-19 vaccine doses with 33,040, followed by Johor (20,784), Perak (15,312), Kedah (13,891) and Penang (8,965).
