Covid-19 Watch: 50.4% of Malaysia’s adult population given booster dose

KUALA LUMPUR: A complete of 11,809,467 people or 50.4 per cent of the adult population within the nation have obtained their Covid-19 booster dose as of Saturday (Jan 29).

According to the Health Ministry’s CovidNow portal, a complete of 22,923,709 people or 97.9 per cent of adults within the nation have accomplished their Covid-19 vaccine dose, whereas 99.1 per cent of the group have obtained at the least one dose of the vaccine.

As for adolescents aged 12 to 17 years, a complete of 2,787,642 people or 88.6 per cent have accomplished their vaccination, whereas one other 2,867,448 people or 91.1 p.c have obtained at the least one dose of the vaccine.

A complete of 97,300 vaccine doses had been administered yesterday, 732 as the primary dose, 898 the second and one other 95,670 as booster doses, bringing the cumulative whole allotted underneath the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 63,384,672. – Bernama
